Presenting the Qualification and Professional Accreditation System for Jordanian Engineers at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

The Faculty of Engineering at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in cooperation with the Jordanian Engineers Association, organized a presentation of the qualification and professional accreditation system in Hourani e-Learning Centre Auditorium. Eng. Asad Atwan, Chairman of the Qualification and Accreditation Committee, delivered an extensive presentation about the qualification and professional accreditation system for Jordanian engineers. He indicated the intensive need for such system and its objectives, and compared it with similar systems adopted in other countries. Eng. Atwan pointed out that this system has been adopted by 16 Arab countries at the level of the Arab world. Eng. Atwan indicated the grades and ranks of the qualification and accreditation system from engineer, associate engineer, professional engineer, to consultant engineer. These ranks are determined based on certain examinations and achievements that match every rank.The meeting was also attended by Dr. Inaam Khalaf, Vice President of the University, engineer faculty and administrative members, and a number of students expected to graduate from the Faculty of Engineering.
