Pharmacy students of Al-Ahliyya Amman University shine in the universe of scientific research

On Sunday, April 10, 2022, the Scientific Research Club for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Ahliyya Amman University held a lecture on the basics of scientific research, presented by the club's consultant Dr. Ali Al-Sumaidai during which he talked about the basics of scientific research and then thanked and honored the student members of the club who participated in the preparation of research and had researches published in their name, including Obada Al-Sibai (5th year pharmacy student) and Serena Hijazin (A graduate of Al-Ahliyya Amman University), whose collaborative research was published for the first time in the European journal of medicinal chemistry, with an impact factor of 6.5 and a Q1 rating as listed in the Scopus database.The research was under the supervision of Dr. Bilal al-Najjar as the first author of the paper, and Dr. Manal Abbas and with the participation of PhD. student Dr. Fadi Saqallah (former bachelor's student at Al-Ahliyya Amman University).The published paper is a scientific review of future inhibitors P 2Y12: approved drugs, potential naturally extracted compounds, synthetic compounds, and related computer simulation studies.The first research paper by Majd Iskandar and Hadil Bahlul (graduates of Al-Ahliyya Amman University) was also published in the Journal of Applied Pharmaceutical Science, a Q2-rated journal listed in the Scopus database. The research was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Ali Al-Sumaidai as the first author of the paper, and Dr. Maha Abu Hajla.The paper was titles the dilemma of incorrect practice towards unused and expired pharmaceutical products. At the end of the lecture, Dr. Al-Sumaidai honored the former president of the club (Abada Al-Sibai) and an election of a new president of the club took place where the majority of members elected (Saja Al Abbas) as the new president. The meeting was attended by a number of students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and members and non-members of the club, where club enrollment forms for non-members and those wishing to join the club were handed out.This lecture is the club's first event for the second semester of 2021/2022.
