Panel Discussion about (I Share Show) at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized a panel discussion about (I Share Show) in cooperation with the National Democratic Institute and the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs in order to enhance youth participation in decision-making. In the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Ali Khawaldah of the Ministry welcomed the audience and said that this session provides a platform where university students meet with professionals and researchers in order to educate young people on the importance of participating in mature and real political life through the practice of democracy. During his speech, Prof. Khawaldeh referred to the amendments made to the Parties Law and called on the parties to develop their agendas in the light of policies that have clear visions and approaches, which ensures achieving actual and dominating parliamentary majority. He stressed the importance of development, reform and opening channels for dialogue and effective youth participation to serve this country and to promote affiliation and loyalty. He noted that we should be one hand and share ideas and opinions in order to achieve political, economic and social growth. Reform and democratization can be achieved only through dialogue, respect of opinion and the other opinion and renouncement of violence and extremism, he added. He noted the importance of the role and interaction of universities with these issues to raise awareness of the overall policy development. The session was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs and a large number of the University students.
