Our University Participates in the IAU 2023 International Conference in Qatar

Al-Ahliyya Amman University, a member of the International Universities Union, took part in the International Association of Universities (IAU) 2023 conference hosted by Qatar University from November 25 to 27. The conference, themed 'The Importance of Education Amidst Cultures and Civilizations,' saw broad participation from numerous university presidents and higher education officials worldwide. The conference featured various dialogue sessions addressing the role of universities in bridging the gap between cultural and civilizational differences. Discussions emphasized the necessity of integrating students from diverse cultures to recognize and respect each other's cultural backgrounds. Additionally, the conference highlighted the significance of learning multiple languages for more impactful education. Representing our university, Prof. Musleh Al-Tarawneh, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Law, engaged with several educational leaders worldwide during the conference. He met with Prof. Ibrahim Al-Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Qatari Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Khaled Al-Ali, Assistant Attorney General for Higher Education Institutions in the Ministry, and Dr. Omar Al-Ansari, President of Qatar University. Discussions focused on potential future collaborations between our university and higher education institutions in Qatar, particularly in student recruitment and knowledge exchange.
