Our Translation Students Explore Media World at Jordan Radio and Television Corporation

Students from the Department of English Language and Translation recently toured the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation as part of their "Translation I" and "Translation II" courses. Welcomed by PR expert Mr. Mohammed Abu Hamad, the visit included an exploration of the news studio, insights into broadcasting processes, and discussions with industry professionals. The tour provided valuable hands-on experiences in news translation, editing, and media operations. Additionally, the students visited the Jordanian FM Radio Department, attending a live on-air program. Mr. Anas Al-Majali, the Director of Jordanian Television News, discussed news handling, editing, and translation processes, adhering to the institution's editorial policy. He also welcomed students' questions, providing detailed responses. At the end of the tour, Dr. Saida Al-Sayyid, Head of the English Language and Translation Department, and the course instructor, Serene Awad, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and the valuable insights gained during the enriching visit.
