Our Faculty of Educational Sciences participates in the Dialogue of Higher Education for Refugees & Persons with Disabilities

On invitation from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, in cooperation with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Along with the Ministry of Higher Education, a panel discussion was held, which revolved around achieving higher education access for refugees and persons with disabilities in Jordan. The event was held under the patronage of His Highness Prince Mired bin Ra'ad, Chairman of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. A representative on behalf of His Highness, Dr. Mohannad Al-Azza, Secretary-General of the Council, delivered a presentation outlining the progress made by the council. In addition to Dr. Ma'moun Al-Debei, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education, presented an overview of integrating refugees into higher education and provided statistical insights about refugee students and the educational services offered. Mr. Ra'fat Al-Zaitawi also presented on technology and environmental accommodations for persons with disabilities. The participation of Al-Ahliyya Amman University focused on discussing the evolution of higher education institutions in providing reasonable facilitative arrangements for students by Dr. Anan Abu Mariam, Head of the Special Education Department at our University.
