Orientation Meeting for New Students in the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetics / Faculty of Agricultural Technology

The Department of Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetics at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology hosted a welcoming meeting for new students for the academic year 2023-2024 on Monday, October 23, 2023, on the college campus. The Dean of the college, Dr. Sabahia Saifan, welcomed the students and congratulated them on their acceptance to this distinguished academic institution. She emphasized the importance of the Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetics field and its relevance to various aspects of life. Engineer Sufian Al-Bas, the General Manager of the Al-Isnad Agricultural Company, shared his pioneering experience and achievements, motivating students to value learning and skills development, given the diverse job opportunities in the Agricultural Technology field. Dr. Rasha Al-Tarawneh, the department head, explained the department's foundation, curriculum, and the importance of communication with academic advisors. Student Rana Al-Jaloudi, a third-year student, shared her successful experience in the college and the significance of the chosen field. Dr. Anan Abu Mariam from the College of Educational Sciences introduced the university's counseling center, which is open to receiving students and helping them solve their problems. The meeting was attended by Dr. Rida Shibli, the Executive Secretary of the Arina Federation, Dr. Abdel-Warith Al-Minafi, and Dr. Mohammed Shatnawi, who offered guidance and advice on diligence, excellence, and participation in various relevant courses. The event concluded with the recognition of the top students of the department for the previous academic year, followed by a discussion about the field and job opportunities.
