Opening of the Scientific Day of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Representing the President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Professor Sari Hamdan, Professor Ahmad Hamdan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, inaugurated the Scientific Day of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences under the theme “Our Students Today… Tomorrow’s Scientists and Future Leaders.” The event was attended by Dr. Ahmad Al-Sarahneh, Chair of the Health Committee in the Jordanian House of Representatives, along with a number of deans, academics, specialists, representatives of healthcare institutions and sponsoring companies, faculty and administrative staff members, and students of the faculty. In his opening remarks, Professor Ghaleb Erekat, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, emphasized that organizing this scientific day aligns with Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s vision of supporting scientific research and innovation and fostering an academic environment that encourages creativity and excellence. He noted that these efforts contribute to preparing qualified professionals capable of keeping pace with rapid developments in the fields of allied medical sciences. He added that the faculty places special emphasis on developing students’ research and scientific skills and encouraging them to apply theoretical knowledge in practical ways that serve both society and the healthcare sector. He also stressed that students are at the heart of the educational process and are genuine partners in the journey of development and achievement. For his part, Dr. Ahmad Al-Sarahneh praised the pioneering role of Al-Ahliyya Amman University in preparing highly qualified professionals to serve the healthcare sector. He affirmed that investment in education and scientific research is a fundamental pillar for advancing the healthcare system and enhancing its ability to address future challenges. Dr. Al-Sarahneh also highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships between universities, healthcare institutions, and the private sector to improve healthcare services and promote innovation and scientific research. He commended the outstanding academic level demonstrated by the faculty’s students through the projects and research presented during the Scientific Day. The event featured an exhibition of scientific brochures prepared by graduate students, showcasing their projects and research in a variety of scientific and health-related fields. In addition, an exhibition by companies and institutions specializing in allied medical sciences, laboratory technologies, and diagnostic services provided students with an opportunity to explore the latest scientific and technological developments and connect academic learning outcomes with labor market needs. The Scientific Day also included a range of educational, scientific, and interactive activities aimed at promoting a culture of scientific research and innovation among students, encouraging them to develop their ideas into practical projects, and providing healthcare and awareness services that contributed to improving health awareness among students and visitors. At the conclusion of the event, supporting organizations, participants, and faculty members who contributed to the success of the Scientific Day were honored in recognition of their efforts in advancing the faculty’s academic and research endeavors.
