On Behalf of Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, the AAU President Attends the Educational Conference Titled “Each Teacher Is A Language Teacher” Organized by Al-JAMI’A Schools Group

On behalf of Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, the Chairman of the AAU Board of Directors, the AAU President, Prof Sari Hamdan, attended the activities of the educational conference which was organized by Al-JAMI’A Schools Group. The conference which was titled “Each Teacher Is A Language Teacher” took place on Saturday, 20/4/2019 in the Holiday Inn Hotel. This conference was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Mustafa Al-Attiyat and the General Supervisor of Al-JAMI’A Schools Group Mrs. Nadia Al-Hourani. The conference also witnessed a great participation of schools’ principals, representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Queen Rania Academy for Teacher Training and a number of researchers and academics.At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Amin Iskandarani delivered his speech where he welcomed the representative of the patron of conference, principals of schools and the participants in the conference. He also thanked the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani for his continuous support and for his keenness to support activities that contribute develop the educational awareness and raise the values of thought, science and creativity. The conference discussed a number of educational axes: In the first axis, Dr. Sana Al-Shaalan talked about the language as an interactive and communicative process; in the second axis, Dr. Haitham Al-Wazir talked about phonetics and the communication language linguistic intelligence; in the third axes, Dr. Shatha Ershid dealt with the teacher's language linguistic discourse; finally, Dr. Walid Al-Anati concluded the last axis of the conference, which dealt with bilingualism in the international schools. On the sidelines of the conference, workshops were held on each axis. The representative of the patron of theconference, Prof. Sari Hamdan, handed honorary shields to a number of participants, conference organizers and supporters.
