MoU Between AAU and Al-Manar Media Production Company – CYBERX
AAU, represented by our President, Professor Sari Hamdan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Al-Manar Media Production Company – CYBERX, based in Saudi Arabia, represented by its Executive Director, Engineer Reem Al-Zamil, accompanied by the Regional Initiatives Manager, Engineer Doaa Rahahle.
The MoU aims to foster collaboration in raising awareness, training, and building skills and capabilities in cybersecurity for students.
The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Qasem Khurma, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, and Professor Musleh Abu Hajj, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Director of the Cybersecurity Center.
The agreement stipulates providing field training opportunities for students in academic disciplines at CYBERX, inviting students to participate in seminars and workshops held by the company to build capacities and skills in cybersecurity, and engaging in competitions organized and sponsored by the company. Additionally, it includes publishing articles on cybersecurity in CYBERX’s specialized magazine on cybersecurity and emerging technologies in Arabic.
Professor Sari Hamdan, our president, emphasized that the university places great importance on updating its disciplines to keep pace with technological advancements, especially in technology and future professions. He highlighted the university's proactive role in Jordan and the region in providing training and qualifications to equip its graduates with the skills necessary to compete in the local and regional job markets. He also noted the university's efforts to build partnerships and relationships with various local, regional, and international institutions to provide advanced training and skills across different disciplines.
Engineer Reem Al-Zamil, the company’s Executive Director, praised AAU’s level and commended the university's efforts to build strategic partnerships with leading institutions to provide an exceptional educational and training environment for its students.
At the end of the meeting, after the signing, Professor Sari Hamdan presented a commemorative shield of the university to Engineer Al-Zamil in appreciation of the company's delegation's visit to the university.
