Memorandum of Understanding between Sirte University and Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Al-Ahliyya Amman University and University of Sirte/Libya signed a memorandum of understanding on Sunday June 26, 2022 with the aim of strengthening prospects for cooperation in the area of scientific research between the two parties along with working together to develop the learning educational process.The agreement was signed by the President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Sari Hamdan and the President of the University of Sirte, Prof. Hassan Al-Shater, in presence of the members of the Libyan delegation. The delegation consisted of the Cultural Counsellor at the Libyan Embassy, Dr. Ahmad Al-Dweik, the Vice President of Sirte University, Prof. Al-Tayeb Al-Qabi, as well as from Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Assistant to the President for Foreign Affairs Prof. Anas Al-Soud.The memorandum provides cooperation between the two universities in activities and programs related to the joint research along with raising the efficiency of these research centers, as well as establishing postgraduate programs under joint supervision. In addition to collaborating in joint projects with the European Union under Erasmus Plus programs and working together on international rankings, quality systems and digital transformation systems.Prof. Sari Hamdan noted that the memorandum arises from the common interest and keenness of developing education and scientific research in both universities additionally to enhancing the collaboration in educational improvements, training and knowledge transfer with the focus on linking the scientific cooperation between local and regional educational institutions.From his part, Prof. Al-Shater stated that the memorandum is a pioneering step in achieving progress and improving the scientific and research fields between the two universities, praising the distinguished reputation of Al-Ahliyya Amman University in the MENA region.
