Memorandum of Understanding between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and “KIA – Jordan” to Enhance Applied Education in the Field of Electric Vehicles

In a pioneering step aimed at strengthening the partnership between the academic and private sectors, Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by its President Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Arab Motors Company – KIA Jordan, represented by its Chairman of the Board, Mr. Mohammad Alayan. The agreement seeks to open new horizons for students in the areas of practical training, employment, and innovation, in line with global transformations towards electric vehicles and smart automotive technologies. Mr. Mohammad Alayan, Chairman of the Board, affirmed that this partnership stems from the company’s belief in the importance of investing in youth competencies and aligning educational outcomes with labor market needs. He noted that the agreement will provide students with advanced hands-on opportunities within the workplace environment, thereby enhancing their readiness for the future. He also added that the company is considering expanding the cooperation to include technological innovation and support for entrepreneurship in the automotive sector. Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of the University, emphasized that this agreement represents an important addition to the university’s plans to develop its engineering and technical education programs and align them with local and regional market demands. He stressed that students will benefit from high-quality training opportunities at KIA Jordan, as well as clear pathways to employment after graduation. He also pointed out the university’s direction towards establishing similar partnerships with leading industrial and technological companies, reinforcing its position as a pioneering institution in applied education and in linking theoretical knowledge with practical experience. This agreement embodies a shared vision to empower a new generation of engineers and innovators capable of leading the automotive sector towards a more sustainable and innovative future. It reflects the commitment of both parties to support the transition to applied education and future technologies, contributing to the preparation of highly qualified graduates who can compete regionally and globally, while strengthening Jordan’s position as a regional hub for innovation in the automotive and engineering industries.
