Memorandum of Understanding between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and Jordanian Chefs Association
Al-Ahliyya Amman University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jordanian Chefs Association on Sunday morning, 21 October 2021. Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of the University, received Chef Shadi Abu Khadija, President of the Association, accompanied by Chef Ayman Al-Nubani, Chef Mohammed Al-Sawalma, Mr. Islam Abu Salah, and Ms. Abeer Al-Hunaiti of the Association, in the presence of Mr. Ayman Rasheed, Director General of the Movenpick Amman Hotel, and Mr. Amin Al-Aardha, from the Department of Hospitality and Culinary Arts at the University.The signing of the agreement aimed to support the academic program in the Department of Hospitality and Culinary Arts, which was established at Al-Ahliyya Amman University this year in collaboration with the Movenpick Hotels and Resorts/ Jordan, for the purpose of preparing cadres that are capable of competing and leading through the latest methods of teaching, learning, and investment in applied technical scientific research, in partnership with the pioneers of various industries,The agreement stipulates training of students affiliated with the program, the recruitment of graduates, and the encouragement of chefs working in the sector to complete their university studies by offering them incentive discounts and organizing workshops and reciprocal visits, to enrich students with hands-on and applied skills.At the end of the meeting, Dr. Hamdan presented the University's Memorial Shield to chef Abu Khadija, while Professor Ameen continued his discussion with members of the association to coordinate workshops and facilitate the procedures for promoting the program to the members of the association.
