Memorandum of Understanding between AAU and the Iraqi University
AAU, represented by our President, Professor Sari Hamdan, and in the presence of the Iraqi Cultural Counselor in Jordan, Professor Khair Al-Din Al-Amin, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Iraqi University, represented by its President, Professor Ali Saleh Hussein. The MoU aims at enhancing cooperation between the two parties.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Aysar Yassin Al-Fahad and Mr. Khamis Dari Rahal from the Iraqi University, and from AAU, Professor Anas Al-Saud, Vice President for International Relations and Quality Affairs, Mr. Samir Hijazi, Director of Public Relations for Al-Hourani Group, Dr. Hadeel Yaseen, President's Advisor, and Engineer Ahmed Al-Hourani, Director of the Marketing and Communications Unit.
At the beginning of the meeting, the delegation was welcomed and introduced to AAU as the first private university established in Jordan, with a focus on its faculties and programs at the bachelor's and master's levels. The MoU was signed to open avenues for mutual cooperation and strengthen relations between the two universities in various areas, including facilitating the exchange of academic members, researchers, and experts, as well as the exchange of ideas. Additionally, it aims to organize lectures, seminars, conferences, and conduct joint scientific research.
In this context, Professor Sari Hamdan emphasized the important role of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in facilitating and enhancing academic relations between the two universities, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made to support Iraqi students in Jordan.
The President of the Iraqi University, Professor Ali Saleh Hussein, praised the distinguished status achieved by AAU and its strong reputation in academic circles both locally and internationally. He also commended the exceptional level of AAU graduates, who have proven their competence in various fields, as well as the high level of services provided by the university to its students and the community in the pursuit of development, building, and progress.
