Master’s theses discussions in our Engineering Faculty

Six master’s degree theses were discussed in the Engineering Faculty of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, one from the Department of Electronics & Communications Engineering and five from the Department of Civil Engineering and came as followed:- “A Rectangular Notch-Band UWB Antenna for OAM Wave Generation”This paper was presented by the student Ola Aref Al-Malla and discussed in the department of Electronics & Communications on Thursday, June 16 2022. The advisory committee consisted of Dr. Nidal Qasem as the primary advisor, Prof. Al-Ja’afreh as an internal advisor and Prof. Jamal Rahhal as an external advisor from the University of Jordan. The committee recommended by the end of the discussion the acceptance of the paper with minor corrections. - “Traffic Congestion Prediction Using Machine Learning: Amman City Case Study”This paper was presented by the student Areen Al-Arabiat and discussed in the department of Civil Engineering on Thursday, June 9 2022. The advisory committee consisted of Prof. Omar Al-Momani, Dean of the Information Technology Faculty at the The World Islamic Sciences and Education University as the primary advisor and Dr. Mohammad Hassan as an associate advisor. In addition to Dr. Mahmoud Iskandarani as an internal advisor and Prof. Rana Imam as an external advisor from the University of Jordan. The committee recommended by the end of the discussion the acceptance of the paper with minor corrections.- “User Preference Analysis for Integrated System of Bus Rapid Transit and On-Demand Shared Mobility Services: A Case Study of Amman, Jordan”This paper was presented by the student Farah Al-Tarifi and discussed in the department of Civil Engineering on Monday, June 13 2022. The advisory committee consisted of Dr. Nawal Al-Louzi as the primary advisor, Dr. Dana Abu Deyyeh as an external advisor, Dr. Taqwa Al-Hadidi as an internal advisor and Dr. Mohammad Naser as an external advisor from the University of Jordan. The committee recommended by the end of the discussion the acceptance of the paper with minor corrections.- “Optimizing the Distribution of Public Transportation Stops Using Geographic Information systems: Case of Amman City”This paper was presented by the student Maram Al-Harbi and discussed in the department of Civil Engineering on Wednesday, June 15 2022. The advisory committee consisted of Dr. Mohammad Hassan as the primary advisor, Dr. Nawal Al-Louzi as an internal advisor and Dr. Khaled Ramadan as an external advisor from the University of Petra. The committee recommended by the end of the discussion the acceptance of the paper with minor corrections. - “A Proposed Model for Traffic Congestion Reduction Based on Smart City Technology”This paper was presented by the student Ibrahim Al-Nuseirat in the department of Civil Engineering on Thursday, April 21 2022. The advisory committee consisted of Dr. Nawal Al-Louzi as the primary advisor, Dr. Mohammad Hassan as an associate advisor, Dr. Ibrahim Khuleifat as an external advisor from Al-Balqa Applied University and Dr. Taqwa Al-Hadidi as an internal advisor. The committee recommended by the end of the discussion the acceptance of the paper with minor corrections.- “A GIS Approach for Revealing Urban Mobility Hotspots: A Case Study of Amman City in Jordan”This paper was presented by the student Abdullah Al-Bustanji in the department of Civil Engineering on Thursday, April 21 2022. The advisory committee consisted of Dr. Mohammad Hassan as the primary advisor, Dr. Nawal Al-Louzi as an internal advisor and Dr. Mohammad Nasser as an external advisor from the University of Jordan. The committee recommended by the end of the discussion the acceptance of the paper with minor corrections.
