Master’s Students from the Interior Design Department at the Faculty of Architecture and Design Document the Ma'in Archaeological Village

In a unique academic initiative, students from the Master’s program in Interior Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design documented a house in the Ma'in archaeological village in Jordan as part of the Heritage Preservation in Interior Design course under the supervision of the course instructor, Dr. Samar Abu Saleh. The field visit aimed to preserve and enhance architectural heritage through modern techniques. The students used innovative methods such as digital photography and advanced design software to document the intricate details of the house's architecture and the historical site. Additionally, they studied and documented the architectural features that distinguished the region's historical buildings, creating an accurate database to aid in preserving this cultural treasure for future generations. The project emphasized the importance of integrating academic knowledge with the preservation of national heritage. Plans were also made to conduct academic research to be published in global databases as a result of this visit, aiming to raise awareness about the significance of the Ma'in archaeological village and how to preserve it in light of contemporary challenges.
