“Maintenance and Manufacture of Hearing Aids and Ear Molds of all Types” Workshop at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

In a workshop organized by Al-Ahliyya Amman University in collaboration with the Arab Academy of Audiovestibular and Phonak Swiss Company, with the participation of a number of Arab countries, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hamed, confirmed the University keenness to upgrade the fundamentals of the educational process in the University. The workshop was entitled “Maintenance and Manufacture of Hearing Aids and Ear Molds of all Types”. This workshop has great importance in preparing remarkably qualified trained cadres to supplement the local, Arab and regional labor market with excellent talents, he noted. Dr. Hamed added that the University is keen to be the first to introduce academic disciplines of distinctive professional nature, which are lacking in the local and Arab labor market. The Hearing and Speech major in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences is of the distinct disciplines at the level of Jordan and the region, Dr. Hamed said. The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Academy, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shabana, thanked Al-Ahliyya Amman University for hosting and supporting the workshop, stressing the importance of participating in such workshops, which is the main objective of the Academy. The Academy serves as an umbrella for the hearing and speech specialty, whether for doctors, specialists or technicians, in order to serve patients, raise awareness and education, and promote audiology in the Arab region. The Secretary General of the Arab Academy of Audiovestibular, Dr. Mohammed Al-Masri, said that the Academy is in the process of holding several workshops specialized in Audiovestibular across the Arab world.
