Lecture on what the powers of the UN Security Council.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Qudah in the Law School gave a lecture addressed the lecture powers and the traditional authorities of the Security Council under the Charter of the United Nations since its inception in 1945 until 1990 and the end of the Cold War which led to the demise of the international balance in the world and move to the pole the one that had a profound influence in world politics and international law, which required and necessitated the emergence of international blocs in Europe, China and the United States, Russia and the other to impose a new reality to the world, international law and the United Nations and the UN Security Council where the increased influence of the Security Council has increased its position in the control of the implementation of its resolutions and Taqlmh conditions and developments taking place in the world and on human rights that have become his view liquidation of international governed by international standards and make them subject to avoidance and denial, and the imposition of this new reality to increase the impact of international law over national law of procedure of the States and the recognition of all countries supremacy of international law over domestic law. Were talking about the obstacles facing the powers of the Security Council is duplication, standards and selectivity, especially for the Arab states, especially after the establishment of the International Criminal Court. Was addressed to the new reality of the powers of the Council in the peacekeeping forces and peace enforcement and intervention on humanitarian grounds, intervention in Iraq, Libya and others, means and suggestions not to give the UN Security Council justifications for intervention in the internal affairs of Arab countries.
