Lecture on rhythm in arts and its impact on man at Al-Ahliyya Amman University
Under the patronage of the President of the University, Dr. Maher Saleem, and in the presence of faculty members and a group of students, the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Interior Design, organized a lecture entitled “Rhythm in Arts” delivered by Dr. Ali Abdullah. Dr. Abdullah reviewed the reference of the rhythm term, its linguistic origin, its relationship to the universe, and its impact on man intellectual, artistic and creative production. The lecturer used images and audiovisual films. The lecturer also spoke about audio rhythm in music, poetry, and theater art, and the pulse it adds to sculpture, statute positions, movement, lineage and expression. At the end of the lecture, Dr. Abdullah stressed that creativity is associated with breaking up from monotony or imitation in art, just as in life, and that it is intrinsically linked to the idea of breaking rhythm and its monotony.
