Lecture on Education in Kuwait before Independence at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Within the celebrations of Kuwait Embassy in Jordan and in collaboration with Al-Ahliyya Amman University, HE Prof. Dr. Abdul Mohsen Mudij, gave a lecture entitled “Education in Kuwait before Independence”. This lecture falls within the celebrations of the Kuwaiti Embassy in Jordan on the occasion of the 50th National Day in the State of Kuwait and five years anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah accession to throne. The lecture addressed the emergence and development stages of education in the State of Kuwait. The Kuwaiti leadership is concerned with education and Kuwaiti students are seconded to friendly countries. Dr. Mudij referred to the most important figures that made a quantum leap in education in Kuwait. The lecture was attended by Prof. Dr. Maher Saleem, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and Kuwait's Ambassador in Jordan, Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij, deans of faculties, a large number of students and faculty members. On the sidelines of the lecture, Dr. Maher Saleem, President of the University, met His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdul Muhsin Mudij and the Kuwaiti Ambassador in Amman, Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij, and welcomed them to Al-Ahliyya Amman University. They discussed several matters of mutual interest, and the possibility of cooperation with the public universities in Kuwait in order to raise the level of higher education and support scientific research. At the end of the meeting, the visitors expressed sincere thanks to the President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University for the warm reception and hospitality and for hosting such events that will increase cooperation among students and inform them of the various Arab cultures to build a well-informed generation that is capable of coping with developments and making a quantum leap in the history and progress of nations.
