Lecture Delivered by Dr. Samir Mohammed in Al-Ahliyya Amman University
In line with Al-Ahliyya Amman University policy related to the need to communicate with community institutions and build bridges of cooperation in several fields, the Faculty of Information Technology hosted Dr. Samir Mohamed to deliver a lecture entitled XML databases. Dr. Samir tackled the issue of databases where XML language is now the main language for information exchange on the Internet. XML database is characterized by flexible information storage in various formats. These databases store data installation and structure as integral part of the database. This is what distinguishes XML databases from the traditional Relational Databases that store data in columns and lines in the form of information list, and store data installation and structure as entity separate from the data itself. At the end of the lecture, the guest answered students questions. The lecture was attended by Dean Dr. Mustafa Yassin, heads of departments of the Faculty of information Technology, and a large gathering of students.
