Lecture about “JO Green” Contest at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Within the activities of JO GREEN contest and the Green Building Guide for the year 2015, the Architecture and Design Faculty at Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted Eng. Emad Al Dabbas, the General Coordinator of project “Green Amman 2020”, who emphasized in his lecture that the contest targets youth generation to encourage them to develop innovative solutions of the issues and challenges facing Jordan in relevant areas of housing design and usage to establish green buildings culture. He added that the contest aims to promote environmental awareness and concepts of green buildings, to motivate students to conduct a collective action, and to highlight the critical issues in the construction sector, considering that this issue has become an urgent need, as well as to develop innovative solutions to address these challenges and to utilize the concepts and applications of green building in a way commensurate with elements of local architecture.
