Languages Department at Al-Ahliyya Amman University Hosts the Second German–Chinese Challenge Day

The Languages Department at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized the second edition of the “German–Chinese Challenge Day,” bringing together students from the German and Chinese language sections in a lively and interactive competition that combined language and culture. The event reflected the university’s commitment to promoting intercultural dialogue, multilingual education, and international academic cooperation. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including Ms. Lena Graziano, Head of the Cultural and Press Section at the German Embassy in Amman; Mr. Zhao Xiaoqiang, Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Jordan and Director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Amman; and Mr. Ahmad Aqrabawi, Assistant Director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Amman. The guests were also welcomed during a brief reception hosted by the President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Professor Sari Hamdan, who emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and international academic partnerships in enriching students’ experiences and strengthening communication and understanding among different cultures. The event featured active student participation through a variety of linguistic and cultural activities and competitions designed to enhance communication skills, cultural awareness, and student interaction within a dynamic multicultural learning environment.
