Jordan Press Association Honors Al-Ahliyya Amman University during Ceremony for Tawjihi Achievers and Supporting Institutions

The Jordan Press Association (JPA), represented by its President Mr. Tariq Al-Momani, honored AAU on Monday evening. Prof. Ahmad Hamdan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who received the honorary shield on behalf of the University President, represented the university. The recognition came as part of the association’s appreciation for the university’s role as one of the key supporting institutions in fostering students and their educational journey. The honor was presented during the JPA’s annual ceremony celebrating the sons and daughters of its members who successfully passed the General Secondary Education Examination (Tawjihi), in addition to the institutions supporting the event. Alongside Amman Al-Ahliyya University, the supporting entities included the Greater Amman Municipality, Housing Bank, Zarqa University, and Orange Jordan. The celebration took place at the Hussein Cultural Center, affiliated with the Greater Amman Municipality. In his remarks, JPA President Tariq Al-Momani, in the presence of the Association’s Board members, a large gathering of journalists, and students’ families, emphasized that students’ success is the fruit of significant efforts exerted by parents. He also praised the national role of universities and institutions supporting the event in fostering students and their educational advancement. The ceremony featured a cultural and artistic program, including a folk performance by the Greater Amman Municipality Troupe for Popular Arts. Artists Suleiman Al-Shamlawi and Majed Al-Zreiqat entertained the audience with a selection of patriotic and folkloric songs celebrating the homeland and the Hashemite leadership. The event also included a comedy sketch by artist Nabil Sawalha, highlighting the importance of knowledge and education in shaping character. At the beginning of the ceremony, journalist Alaa Al-Zaben praised the enduring role of the Jordan Press Association as an integral part of the nation’s journey and renaissance.
