Iraqi Poetry Morning

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Maher Saleem, President of the University, the Deanship of Student Affairs, Expatriates Department, organized an Iraqi poetry session entitled “Iraqi Poetry Morning” in Nizar Qabbani Auditorium. The session included reciting folk and eloquent poetry. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Sadiq Nasrallah, the Iraqi Cultural Attaché, in addition to a large number of students, faculty members, and a number of Iraqi poets, including Aziz Rassam, Hazem Jaber, Waleed Hani, Makki Nazzal, and Mohammad Nassif. In the end of the session, HE Dr. Mohammed Sadiq Nasrallah honored the participant poets and thanked the University for such events that will spread the culture of poetry and increase awareness of the Arabic culture among the students.
