“Introduced Provisions” Lecture at Al-Ahliyya Amman University
Within extracurricular activities of faculty members at the Faculty of Law, the Faculty organized a lecture titled “Provisions Introduced to the Jordanian Criminal Procedure Code, According to the Latest Amendments”. On Monday, 11-4-2011, Professor Hasan Jokhadar, in the presence of Dean of Faculty, Dr. Omar Borinim, and faculty members of the Faculty of Law, delivered a lecture in which he addressed the law amending the Criminal Procedure Code in Article (3) which determines the period of three months to make a complaint, file a claim, and follow up the complaint before the Magistrates Court. Dr. Jokhadar addressed the amendment to Article (114) concerning permissible arrest in felonies, provided sufficient evidence is available, the duration of detention prescribed by the Attorney General in misdemeanors and felonies, extending the period of detention by the competent court in primitive misdemeanors, felonies, and other crimes, recovering the arrest warrant, and to Article (123) which permits release by the competent court, as amended. At the end of the lecture, the faculty members raised their questions and inquiries, which were answered by Prof. Hasan Jokhadar.
