In an interview with Dr. Maher Al-Hourani in MBC Channel during “Good Morning Arabs” Program, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of Directors’ Board at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, stressed on the importance of education and universities in creating the nations’ civilizations and their development, taking the state of Japan as a model and the extent of development that has been reached there by their interest and supporting to the educational process at all stages. The role of universities is not only to transfer knowledge but also to create and enrich knowledge, developed countries are highly concerned with universities to enable them to encourage creativity, and invention. he added. He stressed the importance of reformulating the education system to fit the development witnessed by the world, and to keep the courses at the universities up with the labor market requirements.Dr. Al-Hourani also stressed the importance of revealing the children talents to their parents and encouraging them and giving them the space to choose the majors they desire, and not to impose on them certain ones not in line with their desires.
