Hourani Group Signs a Strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Huawei Jordan to Enhance Cooperation in Information and Communications Technology

Hourani Group signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei Jordan, aiming to strengthen cooperation in the fields of information and communications technology (ICT) and digital transformation, while benefiting from advanced technological solutions, developing technological infrastructure, and building capabilities. The agreement was signed on behalf of Hourani Group by Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, and on behalf of Huawei Jordan by General Manager Mr. Martin. The signing was attended by the University Advisor, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan; Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Professor Dr. Mou’ath Al-Hourani; and Mr. Hossam Al-Sayed. Representing Huawei Jordan were Mr. Loufi, Enterprise Business Director; Mr. Jackson, Technical Solutions Director; and Ms. Lana Al-Najjar, Corporate Communications Manager. The areas of cooperation include networking, cloud computing, data centers, smart solutions, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and technical consulting, in addition to training, capacity building, Huawei ICT Academy programs, and HALP initiatives. The agreement also includes support for Huawei ICT Academy initiatives and efforts to accredit Al-Ahliyah Amman University as a Huawei ICT Academy, thereby enhancing opportunities for training, professional development, and obtaining specialized professional certifications. Dr. Maher Al-Hourani emphasized that the agreement represents an important step toward strengthening the strategic partnership in the fields of technology and digital transformation, as well as benefiting from Huawei’s expertise in developing the group’s current and future projects. For his part, Huawei Jordan General Manager Mr. Martin expressed his pride in the partnership, reaffirming Huawei’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Jordanian institutions, supporting the country’s digital transformation journey, and leveraging its technological expertise to support projects and develop professional capabilities.
