Hosting (Start your Way towards the Summit with KPMG Academy) Lecture

The Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized a lecture titled (Start your Way towards the Summit with KPMG Academy). The lecture was delivered by Mr. Hatem Qawasmi, Chairman of the Federation of Arab Accountants and Auditors and the Executive Partner at KPMG. Mr. Qawasmi talked about the importance of identifying labor market requirements and qualifications. He stressed the need for students to determine their career path clearly, particularly students of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences. This can be achieved by acquiring financial and accounting certificates, which would create for students broad prospects for excellent opportunities after graduation, he noted. He added that the Academy seeks to consolidate cooperation with the University and that he looks forward a greater role that improves the training level, qualifies the University students for the labor market, and enhances their competitive ability on the local, regional and international level. He offered a scholarship to one of the top ranking students in CMA/CPA program.During his visit to the University, opening prospects for cooperation on the professional certificate program (CMA) was considered. The parties examined the possibility of accrediting the programs of the Accounting Department and the Banking and Financial Sciences Department, which are compatible with the international management accounting certification exam requirements, as a curriculum accredited by the Academy to meet the required quality standards in the educational process to enable students to acquire Certified Management Accountant Certificate.The lecture was attended by faculty members and a number of students of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences.
