Hosting a specialized legal seminar on the Regulation and Competence of the European Court of Arbitration at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

The Faculty of Law at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized a specialized legal seminar on the (Regulation and Competence) of the European Court of Arbitration, the Arab Republic of Egypt branch. The meeting started by welcoming the attendants and lecturers by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Najem Rabadi. Dr. Al-Rabadi addressed the growing interest nowadays with arbitration as one of the alternative legal systems for dispute resolution. In particular, he noted the University interest with holding specialized meetings on this issue and signing and activating agreements with arbitration institutions and centers in Jordan and the region, including the European Court of Arbitration. Dr. Ameer Taha of the European Court delivered a lecture on the inception of the court in general, and its branch in Egypt in particular, and the activities and competence of the court. The floor was then opened for discussion between the lecturer and the audience. It was agreed to hold specialized arbitration courses at the headquarters of the court or on Al-Ahliyya Amman University campus. The meeting was characterized by a positive atmosphere of partnership and cooperation in the interest of both parties.The seminar was attended by a number of specialist lawyers, faculty members and graduate students at the University.
