His Excellency Abdul Karim Al-Kabariti, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Patronizes the Second Day of the 33rd Cohort Graduation Ceremony – First Semester 2025/2026
His Excellency Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Kabariti, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, patronized on the evening of February 16, 2026, at the Arena Theater, the second day of the University’s graduation ceremony for the First Semester of the academic year 2025/2026 (33rd Cohort). The ceremony celebrated graduates from the Faculties of Engineering, Pharmacy, Information Technology, Nursing, Architecture and Design, Allied Medical Sciences, and Agricultural Technology.
The ceremony was attended by the University President, Prof. Sari Hamdan; Mr. Omar Al-Hourani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; members of the Board of Trustees; Vice President Prof. Ahmad Hamdan (Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry); Dr. Iyad Shaaban, Assistant President for Accreditation, Quality Assurance and Planning; deans of faculties; members of the academic and administrative staff; and a large gathering of graduates’ families and invited guests.
The ceremony commenced, following the Royal Anthem, with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an delivered by graduate Adam Al-Hadidi from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Prof. Mustafa Attiyat, Dean of Student Affairs, delivered the University’s address, welcoming the patron of the ceremony, the University President, members of the Board of Trustees, deans, faculty and administrative staff, graduates, and their families.
In his speech, Prof. Attiyat expressed pride in celebrating a distinguished group of graduates and described the day as one of honor and accomplishment. He emphasized that the University, the first private university in Jordan, continues its mission of excellence by graduating students from the Faculties of Engineering, Pharmacy, Information Technology, Nursing, Architecture and Design, Allied Medical Sciences, and Agricultural Technology.
He noted that the University was founded by the late Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani with a firm belief that education is the foundation of national progress. He affirmed that under the strategic vision and continuous support of Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and the academic leadership of Prof. Sari Hamdan, President of the University, Al-Ahliyya Amman University has consolidated its position as a leading national and regional academic institution.
Prof. Attiyat also highlighted the University’s major academic achievements, including:
• Ranking within the (761–770) band globally in the QS World University Rankings, first among Jordanian private universities and third among all Jordanian universities.
• Placement within the (401–500) band globally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, ranking first among Jordanian universities.
• Maintaining leadership in Hospitality Management for the second consecutive year.
• Achieving first place locally in Arts and Design and third place in Arts and Humanities.
• Ranking within the (101–200) band in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026 among more than 2,300 universities worldwide.
• Securing 186th place in the Asian University Rankings and 23rd in the Times Higher Education Arab Rankings.
• Leading private universities locally in the Webometrics Ranking and ranking 41st among Arab universities.
In alignment with the Royal directives and the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to support technical and vocational education, the University established the Faculty of Technical Education to offer associate diploma degrees and obtained Pearson international accreditation to deliver BTEC programs in various specializations that meet labor market needs.
Addressing the graduates, Prof. Attiyat congratulated them on their well-deserved achievement and praised their perseverance and the unwavering support of their families. He concluded by expressing pride in the Hashemite leadership under His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to serving Jordan and upholding national unity.
During the ceremony, the patron of the event, accompanied by the University President, honored Dr. Murad Al-Maaytah in recognition of his excellence in scientific research and his valuable contributions to the academic journey.
On behalf of the graduates, Mr. Aiham Majed Saifan, a graduate of the Faculty of Information Technology, majoring in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, delivered the graduates’ speech. He expressed gratitude to His Excellency Abdul Karim Al-Kabariti, the University President, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, the deans, and the faculty and administrative staff for their continuous support.
Reflecting on the academic journey, he described it as a path filled with challenges and successes, moments of confidence and moments of doubt. He encouraged his fellow graduates not to fear failure, emphasizing that failure is not the end of the road but rather a step toward growth and achievement. He concluded by urging them to move forward confidently toward their dreams while remembering the distance they have already traveled.
Vice President Prof. Ahmad Hamdan then read the official graduation statement, confirming that the students from the various faculties included in the ceremony had fulfilled all requirements for their Bachelor’s degrees and were eligible to receive their certificates.
The ceremony was masterfully presented by Ms. Aya Fares Ghneim from the Faculty of Architecture and Design, whose eloquent introductions to each segment were warmly received by the audience.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Excellency the patron, accompanied by the University President, presented the certificates to the graduates and honored outstanding students with appreciation awards.
