His Excellency Abdul Karim Al-Kabariti, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Patronizes the First Day of the 33rd Cohort Graduation Ceremony – First Semester 2025/2026
His Excellency Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Kabariti, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, patronized on the evening of February 15, 2026, the first day of the University’s graduation ceremony for the First Semester of the academic year 2025/2026 (33rd Cohort), held at the Arena Theater. The ceremony celebrated graduates from the Faculties of Graduate Studies, Arts and Sciences, Educational Sciences, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Law, and Business.
The ceremony was attended by the University President, Prof. Sari Hamdan; Mr. Omar Al-Hourani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; members of the Board of Trustees; Vice President Prof. Ahmad Hamdan (Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry); Dr. Iyad Shaaban, Assistant President for Accreditation, Quality Assurance and Planning; deans of faculties; members of the academic and administrative staff; and a large gathering of graduates’ families and invited guests.
The ceremony commenced with the Royal Anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by student Adam Odeh Al-Hadidi from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Prof. Mustafa Attiyat, Dean of Student Affairs, delivered the University’s address, welcoming the patron of the ceremony, His Excellency Abdul Karim Al-Kabariti, the University President, members of the Board of Trustees, deans, faculty and administrative staff, graduates, and their families.
In his speech, Prof. Attiyat expressed his pride in celebrating a new cohort of graduates who completed a distinguished academic journey marked by perseverance and excellence. He noted that this occasion represents not merely the conclusion of an academic phase, but the beginning of a new responsibility toward serving society and contributing to national development.
He highlighted that Al-Ahliyya Amman University, founded by the late Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani, has continued its mission based on a firm belief in education as the cornerstone of nation-building. He emphasized that under the leadership of Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Prof. Sari Hamdan, President of the University, the institution has strengthened its position as a leading national academic model recognized at the local, regional, and international levels.
Prof. Attiyat also reviewed the University’s prominent achievements, including:
• Ranking within the (761–770) band globally in the QS World University Rankings, first among Jordanian private universities and third among all Jordanian universities.
• Placement within the (401–500) band globally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, ranking first among Jordanian universities.
• Maintaining leadership in Hospitality Management for the second consecutive year.
• Achieving first place in Arts and Design and third place in Arts and Humanities disciplines locally.
• Ranking within the (101–200) band in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026 among more than 2,300 universities worldwide.
• Achieving 186th place in the Asian University Rankings and 23rd in the Times Higher Education Arab Rankings.
• Leading private universities locally in the Webometrics Ranking and ranking 41st among Arab universities.
In alignment with the Royal directives and the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to support technical and vocational education, the University established the Faculty of Technical Education to offer associate diploma degrees and obtained Pearson international accreditation to deliver BTEC programs in various market-oriented specializations.
Addressing the graduates, Prof. Attiyat congratulated them on their achievement and praised their perseverance and the support of their families. He concluded by expressing pride in the Hashemite leadership under His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to serving Jordan.
On behalf of the graduates, Ms. Dana Adnan Al-Maghrabi, Master’s graduate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, delivered a heartfelt speech. She shared her academic journey, which began in 2005 as a Bachelor’s student in the Faculty of Pharmacy, graduating in 2009. After years of challenges and interruption, she returned in 2023 to pursue her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She emphasized that the University is not merely buildings, but people who make a lasting impact on students’ lives. She encouraged her fellow graduates not to fear long paths or pauses in their journeys, noting that sometimes returning is the strongest form of success.
Vice President Prof. Ahmad Hamdan then read the official graduation statement, confirming that the students from the various faculties had fulfilled all requirements for their Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and were eligible to receive their certificates.
His Excellency the patron of the ceremony, accompanied by the University President, presented the certificates to the graduates and honored outstanding students with appreciation awards.
The ceremony was masterfully presented by graduate Adam Odeh Al-Hadidi, top of his specialization in the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, whose eloquence and engaging delivery enriched the event.
It is worth noting that the second day of the graduation ceremony, also under the patronage of His Excellency Abdul Karim Al-Kabariti, will be held on Monday evening to celebrate graduates from the Faculties of Engineering, Pharmacy, Information Technology, Nursing, Architecture and Design, and Allied Medical Sciences.
