Her Health is Our Priority is the Motto of the Campaign of the Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University on the Occasion of Mother's Day

The Women's Health Center at Al-Ahliyya Amman University launched its first awareness event under the theme Her Health is Our Priority, on the occasion of Mother's Day on Monday, March 21, 2022. The ceremony began with a welcoming speech from the President of the Advisory Board of the Center, Professor Dr. Montaha Gharaibeh, followed by an introductory speech by the Director of the Center, Dr. Rana Abu Hwaij, about the Center for Women's Health, its vision, mission and objectives, which the Center seeks to achieve by forming partnerships at the local, regional and global levels, starting with faculty and administrative members, and students at the university in various majors in order to build the capabilities of women at the university and enable them to reach health, economic and social well-being. Dr. Nazra Sahawneh, a family medicine specialist from Ain Al Basha Comprehensive Center, provided important awareness guidance for adapting with and reducing the worsening of the condition of PCOS common among girls and women of childbearing age through diet, physical activity, medication and appropriate medical interventions. This was followed by the success story of “Himmetna initiative by Dr. Fadia Samara, Secretary General of the Medical Coalition for Patient Rights, which embodies the highest levels of voluntary humanitarian work and social responsibility that laid the foundations for positive change for the health and care of cancer patients. The ceremony featured valuable participations from university students in addition to an awareness video in support of Jordan's campaign against cancer, and a vocal performance by student Dalia Na'an'a of the song “Sett El Habayeb” and was concluded by distributing roses to the mothers attending.
