Hala TV Channel in the 48 Areas Conducts An Interview with Dr. Al- Hourani and Prof. Hamdan and Wonders Why Thousands of Arab Students Attend Jordanian Universes?
Thousands of students from our country are studying in Jordanian universities. What is the secret of this turnout? What do these universities offer to them? To what extent can students be awarded scholarships?Are there any changes that would create concerns about their recognition?These questions and others were discussed in a TV interview conducted by journalist Nayef Zaidani in “This Day” Program on Hala TV. In this interview, the journalist met with Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, the Chairman of AAU Board of Directors and Prof. Sari Hamdan, the President of the University. During the interview, Dr. Al- Hourani and Prof. Hamdan said that Jordan is a destination for tourists; its people are kind and they love Arabs and Arabism. Jordan also enjoys a safe and secure environment in addition to being a leading country in the region in the field of public and private university education. It is known for the quality as well as the efficiency of its graduates. Furthermore, our Jordanian universities offer specializations and programs that meet the requirements of the labor market in the region. We also provide modern equipments; advanced infrastructure and recruit elite and the finest academics and professors. Moreover, studying and living in Jordan is far less expensive than studying abroad.Our universities in Jordan also offer facilities, discounts and scholarships to some students, whether outstanding or stumbling. Dr. Al-Hourani also referred to AAU’s programs and specializations, as the first private university in Jordan and the region. It is known for its programs and specializations, excellence, facilities and discounts as well as for the competence of its graduates who have proved their competency wherever they work. It is worth noting that Dr. Al-Hourani and Prof. Hamdan visited the Panet site and the Panorama newspaper, where they held interviews with journalists on educational and university affairs and students' acceptance. Finally, they exchanged honorary shields.
