Graduation Project in Al-Ahliyya Amman University Wins the Support of King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau

The graduation project entitled “Mobile Transportation Coordination App MyRoadMate” produced by the Computer Science Department at Al-Ahliyya Amman University was awarded financial support by King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau in collaboration with King Abdullah II Fund for Development. The project teams consisted of the following students: Hawash Ghassan Yousef, Sharif Haza’ Abdali and Tariq Jamal Ghaith, and was supervised by Dr. Malek Amayreh, amid intense competition by most Jordanian universities aspiring for this support. This project aims to provide a practical solution to the problem of traffic and transportation congestion. The project will be applied to the problem from which the Hashemite University students have been suffering for years without a solution. The team of the Center evaluating project support applications praised the students’ contribution in solving the general problems prevailing in their country through the application of information and communications technology and providing creative solutions for environment protection, energy saving, and optimal utilization of available resources, which will have a positive impact on the national economy. This is the first time that AAU students of the Faculty of Information Technology obtain support by King Abdullah Design and Development Bureau.
