Free Medical Day at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Under the patronage of Prof. Sadeq Hamed - President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University – and in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Medical Services Department held a Free Medical Day on Thursday, 17/12/2015, for the academic and administrative staff, the University students and the community members.At the opening ceremony of the Free Medical Day, the University President said that these activities are part of the University’s mission in the volunteer community services. This event was organized in cooperation with a number of institutions including the National Blood Bank, Rolla Optical Centre represented by Ms. Rola Al-Nawayseh, Jordanian and German Centre of Ophthalmology represented by Dr. Ibraheem Al-Nawayseh, Ophthalmology Specialist represented by Dr. Salem Abu Al-Ghanam, Rayyan Medical Centre represented by Dr. Omar Shammout, and MY-Ray Centre for Diagnostic Radiology represented by Dr. Firas Jahausheh. The activities included an educational lecture about Breast Cancer and the importance of its early diagnosis, as well as laboratory tests for diabetes, blood and eyesight, in addition to a campaign for blood donation.
