Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Ahliyya University Hosts the First Medical Conference in Collaboration with the Jordan Pharmaceutical Students' Association (JPSA)

Under the patronage of former Minister of Health Dr. Saad Jaber, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Ahliyya University hosted the First Medical Conference, organized in collaboration with the Jordan Pharmaceutical Students' Association (JPSA). The event was attended by Dr. Arwa Omar Al-Khatib, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dr. Wasfi Al-Nawafleh, Vice President of the Jordan Pharmacists Association; Mr. Iyad Tayyem, President of the Jordan Pharmaceutical Students' Association (JPSA); as well as a distinguished group of academics, healthcare experts, specialists, and students from across the health sciences sector. Dr. Saad Jaber began his visit with a meeting at the office of Professor Ahmad Hamdan, Acting President of Amman Ahliyya University. Professor Hamdan welcomed the guest of honor and reaffirmed the University's commitment to hosting scientific conferences and academic events that promote the exchange of expertise and strengthen collaboration between higher education institutions and the healthcare sector. He noted that such initiatives contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical education and the enhancement of community healthcare services. The conference featured a range of specialized scientific sessions covering key topics, including the current state of Jordan's healthcare system, the expanding role of pharmacists within the healthcare sector, personalized medicine, mental health, evidence-based skincare, and the latest technological innovations in pharmaceutical sciences. Participants also explored emerging applications such as three-dimensional (3D) printing and smart drug delivery systems, reflecting the rapid evolution of the pharmacy profession and its growing contribution to improving healthcare quality. Dr. Arwa Omar Al-Khatib, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, emphasized that the conference aligns with the Faculty's vision of fostering a dynamic academic and research environment while providing pharmacy students with opportunities to engage with the latest scientific developments and contemporary healthcare practices. She noted that such initiatives play an important role in preparing highly qualified pharmacists equipped with both the scientific knowledge and practical skills required to meet the rapidly changing demands of the profession. For his part, Dr. Saad Jaber praised the conference's high academic standard and commended Amman Ahliyya University's continued commitment to supporting scientific research and hosting specialized academic events.
