Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University participates in Royal Health Awareness Society workshop
The Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University participated in a workshop carried out by the Royal Health Awareness Society in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund in Jordan. The workshop was attended by Dr. Amr Al-Zayoud and Dr. Osama al-Kuri, from the Faculty of Nursing. The workshop focused on the skills and methods of interactive teaching and learning, in addition to building the capacities of faculty members to enable them to use interactive educational methods, which they, in turn, will transfer to university students. This workshop is part of the agreement concluded by the Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Royal Health Awareness Society, in partnership with United Nations Population Fund. The Royal Health Awareness Society, one of her Majesty Queen Rania's initiatives, aims to improve life quality of Jordanians by raising health awareness and enabling the local community to follow healthy behaviors and provide preventive health services within our “youth for health” project. This will be achieved by implementing a number of programs, including raising awareness in young people at universities and colleges on topics related to health education in general, and to reproduction health issues in particular, by including general university courses, in cooperation with Nursing colleges at Jordanian universities and colleges. This comes in partnership with the public and private sectors and civil society institutions.
