Faculty of Arts in Al-Ahliyya Amman University Organizes a Seminar on “Arab Woman Issues”

Within Al-Ahliyya Amman University concern to develop the abilities of students, the Faculty of Arts, under the supervision of Dr. Fawzi Tamya and Dr. Hafitha Ahmed and the students of “Art of Writing and Expression” Course, a seminar entitled “Arab Woman Issues” was held in Hourani Auditorium. During the seminar, Dr. Hafitha outlined that the course aims to train students on performing writing and expression arts, and hone their oral and writing skills. She indicated the role of students in preparation for the seminar starting from selecting the subject to distributing invitations to students and instructors. The seminar was moderated by a group of students who addressed several topics, including violence against women, sexual discrimination against women, early marriage and divorce. At the end of the seminar, students were engaged in dialogue and discussions with instructors.
