Faculty of Arts and Sciences Hosts Cultural Seminar Honoring Abdel Moneim Al-Rifai on His Selection as Poet of Arab Poetry Day 2026

In celebration of the prominent Jordanian poet Abdel Moneim Al-Rifai, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences organized a cultural seminar titled “Abdel Moneim Al-Rifai: Poet of the Nation.” This event marked his selection as the Poet of the Arab Poetry Day 2026 by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO). The seminar brought together a distinguished group of Jordanian poets and critics, who explored Al-Rifai’s literary experience and his contributions to enriching Arabic poetry, highlighting key milestones in his literary and national career. The seminar was held under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Linda Alkhawaja, with the participation of Dr. Fadi Al-Rimawi, Head of the Department of Allied Sciences, Dr. Omayma Al-Rawashdeh, and Professor Fida Ghnaim. The event was attended by a number of faculty members and students. At the conclusion of the seminar, the Dean honored the participating guests by presenting them with the University shields in appreciation of their valuable contributions and their role in the success of the event.
