Faculty of Architecture and Design Welcomes New Students for the Academic Year 2023-2024
In a festive kickoff to the new academic year, the Faculty of Architecture and Design recently organized a special welcome event for incoming students. The event featured an introductory video that provided a glimpse into the state-of-the-art educational facilities and diverse academic programs offered by the Faculty. Dr. Saba Nseirat, esteemed dean of the Faculty, extended a warm welcome to the new students. In her address, she underscored the Faculty's distinctive policies, visionary outlook, and core values. Dr. Nseirat assured students that the Faculty is committed to nurturing their skills, offering both theoretical insights and practical experiences to prepare them for the dynamic job market.
Dr. Imran Hassan, the vice dean for academic affairs, delivered a concise presentation on course registration procedures. He emphasized the significance of adhering to the guidance plan and maintaining regular communication with academic advisors. Further enriching the students' understanding, Dr. Rana Al-Naqleh, the associate dean for accreditation and quality affairs, provided intricate details about the Faculty's educational environment, including accreditation guidelines, quality management policies, and the array of academic support services available throughout their university journey.
Dr. Issam Al-Dlaeen, the director of Amman Consultations and Psychological Care Center, shed light on the center's services and their potential benefits for students. Dr. Anan Abu Rashid, the director of the Counseling and Special Education Center at the university, outlined the center's roles and encouraged students to reach out whenever needed.
The event progressed with insightful presentations on academic programs. Dr. Mohammed Abu Kashk provided a comprehensive overview of the Interior Design program for both undergraduate and master's degrees. Dr. Yara Nahro, head of the Architecture Engineering Department, spotlighted the academic program's features, including courses, labs, and post-graduation job prospects.
Further insights unfolded as Dr. Fatenn Jazzaar, head of the Multimedia and Graphic Design Department, delved into the impact of the specialization in the digital content industry. Dr. Areen Al-Shar'ah, head of the Cinematic, Television, and Theatrical Design Department, presented a comprehensive overview of the specialization, detailing its societal impact, study plan, counseling plan, and knowledge areas.
Culminating the event, the dean honored outstanding students from various academic years with certificates of appreciation. This recognition aimed to inspire students to strive for excellence and unleash their creative potential.
This event underscores the Faculty's commitment to assimilating students into their new academic environment, urging compliance with university regulations and guidelines.
