Faculty of Architecture and Design Participates in the "Heritage and Archaeology Forum" at the Hashemite University

The Faculty of Architecture and Design participated in the eighth forum titled "Heritage and Archaeology Forum: Gateway to the Future, New Methods in Archaeology," held at the Hashemite University on July 28-29, 2024. The event was organized by the Hashemite University and patronized by the Institut Français du Proche-Orient (IFPO), the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL), the German Protestant Institute of Archaeology (GPIA), and the American Center of Research (ACOR). The faculty presented three research papers by master's students in the Interior Design program, under the supervision of Dr. Dana Amro, Associate Professor in the department. The first paper, presented by Ola Al-Zubaidi, was titled: "Exploring Transformation in Courtyards: An Analytical Approach of Contemporary Iraqi Houses." The second paper, presented by Sarah Sakajha, was titled: "Adaptive Reuse of Heritage Buildings by Using Multi-Criteria Decision Making in Salt City, Jordan." The third paper, presented by Malak Abu Naseer, was titled: "Exploring Adaptive Reuse Strategies for Preserving Cultural Heritage in Interior Spaces: A Case Study of Dar Al-Sraya in Madaba, Jordan." Our AAU, represented by the Faculty of Architecture and Design, reaffirms its commitment to student participation in local research and scientific conferences to support the academic process and enhance sustainable development in line with the university’s vision, policy, and core values.
