Faculty of Architecture and Design at Al-Ahliyya Amman University Participates in Global Conference on Digital Content Creation in Turkey
Kristel George Habshi, a student from the Multimedia and Graphic Design Department at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, participated in the “Influence Me” conference for digital content creators held in Turkey. She presented a specialized session discussing strategies for responding to negative comments on social media platforms. Kristel began her presentation with a brief overview of her professional journey in producing travel and tourism content in the Middle East, highlighting her goals to showcase the aesthetic, cultural, and lived experiences of local communities via Instagram. Her work aims to enhance the region’s image and support tourism marketing efforts.
Kristel emphasized that negative comments pose a continuous challenge for content creators in the digital space, underscoring the importance of adopting a “growth mindset” that transforms such feedback into analytical data reflecting audience perceptions and reactions. She introduced a methodology that categorizes comments into two groups: the first includes offensive remarks, while the second consists of constructive criticism that can be utilized to improve content quality and shape future messaging. She concluded by stressing the responsibility that accompanies digital influence, noting that how creators handle negativity reflects their awareness and commitment to their message more than a sign of weakness.
This participation exemplifies Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s dedication to supporting its students’ active engagement in global forums and developing their practical and academic skills in digital media and content creation.
