Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman university completes the examinations of children of Orphan Care Charitable Society
Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Tanani, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the Faculty held a free medical day for the children of the Orphan Care Charitable Society / Al-Baqaa Basin, on campus on Thursday, 4/11/2021. The event was under the supervision of Dr. Maha Abu Hajla, Head of the Department of Cosmetics Science. It aimed to complete the preliminary examinations of hearing, speech, and vision, conducted on children earlier at the headquarters of the Society's Sawaaed School, with the participation of all departments of the college and in the presence of faculty members, specialists, and student trainees from the different departments of the college. The Department of Optometry Science, headed by Dr. Yazan Qamwa, conducted vision examinations, eye muscle movement, diplopia, and color blindness. The Audiology & Speech Center, under the supervision of instructor Leila Qanati, conducted a hearing survey, a middle ear examination, a language abilities survey, speech disorders for orphaned children. Symbolic gifts were distributed to orphaned children, as well. The College extends it thanks to the President of the Society, Mr. Nafz Al Sarisi, and Mr. Fadi Adel for their continued cooperation. This initiative comes to confirm the role of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University in the service of the community.
