Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at AAU Participates in Expert Meeting with QIAGEN Germany

Under the directives and support of Professor Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and the supervision of Professor Ghaleb Araikat, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, the Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology actively participated in a meeting hosted by Next Generation Genetic Consultancy—the exclusive agent of QIAGEN Germany—with a group of QIAGEN experts, held at the headquarters of the consultancy company. The university was represented by a delegation headed by Dr. Osama Al-Sayed, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, along with Dr. Asmaa Qasem, Lecturer Hamza Al-Ameer, and a number of students from the department. This participation reflects the university’s commitment to engaging in specialized scientific events. The meeting featured in-depth discussions on the latest advancements in the fields of biotechnology and genetics, with key topics including: • The latest releases and updates from QIAGEN • Applications of QIAGEN Digital PCR QIAcuity • The role of dPCR in gene and cell therapy • Advantages of dPCR in cancer and microbiome research.
