Exhibition of Artist Dr. Imran Hassan (The Visual Values of Line, Circle, and Time in Contemporary Art Edition)
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of Amman University, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Shaboul, Dean of the College of Architecture and Design, the exhibition of Dr. Imran Hassan, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Architecture and Design, titled "The Visual Values of Line, Circle, and Time in Contemporary Art Edition," was inaugurated at Saltoos Art Hall on Monday, June 5, 2023.
This art exhibition presented a captivating exploration of diverse human secrets, relying on creative vision by examining a period of time from Egypt's history, specifically the Roman period, which began after the reign of Cleopatra, the last ruler of ancient Egypt in 30 BC, until the later Coptic and Islamic arts, which continued until the Islamic conquest of Egypt in 641 AD. This was achieved through innovative graphic processing of digital media, flat printing, and hand screen printing techniques.
These artworks invite the viewer to delve into the depths of possibilities where lines, shapes, and colors converge to evoke emotions and stimulate thoughts. In addition, a collection of the oldest drawn portraits in history (the faces of ancient Fayum) were showcased, revealing expressive aspects of Roman and Egyptian faces from the first, second, and third centuries AD, attracting the viewer to a contemplative space.
