Enhancing Joint Academic and Research Collaboration with the Medical University of Vienna

As part of our University’s preparations for the opening of the Faculty of Dentistry by the beginning of the academic year 2023-2024, the Vice President for International Relations & Quality, Prof. Anas Al-Soud concluded his visit to the Medical University of Vienna. This visit comes with the aim to follow up and discuss several issues regarding the equipment and preparations of the faculty, increase joint scientific research as well as develop operational programs for the alumni of the Faculty of Nursing and develop educational programs in the Faculty of Allied Medical Science. Prof. Al-Soud met with the Vice President for Scientific Research and Innovation, Dr. Michaela Fritz, in the presence of Prof. Sharoukh Shariat. Nonetheless, Joint research cooperation was discussed with the Hourani Center for Applied Scientific Research along with the agreement on the details of the dental scholarship program, which includes the scholarship of three dentists from AAU to complete their studies at the Medical University of Vienna. In addition, Prof. Al-Soud met with the Vice President of the Medical University of Vienna for Clinics Affairs, Prof. Oswald Wagner to discuss plans of the Dentistry Faculty and cooperation in clinical training and operating clinics during the coming years.
