“Early Detection of Breast Cancer” Lecture in Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Deanship of Student Affairs/Division of Cultural and Social Activities at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in collaboration with the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, organized a lecture on “Early Detection of Breast Cancer” at the Faculty of Arts/Mahmoud Darwish Auditorium. At the beginning of the lecture, the lecturers defined cancer, most vulnerable women to cancer, symptoms of the disease, methods of self-examination, in addition to clinical examination and its steps. The speakers stressed the importance of x-ray examination, which is considered the optimal procedure to detect cancer. Brochures were distributed to students as part of the awareness campaign. The lecture was attended by Dr. Mohammed Sakran of the Faculty of Arts, Ms. Dina Abu Sair of the Deanship of Student Affairs, Division of Cultural and Social Activities, and a large number of the University students.
