Dr. Nabil Nayef Al-Humoud, Consultant Psychiatrist, Delivers A Lecture at AAU Titled “Other Medications & Biological Treatments in Psychiatric Disorders”

Within the continuous activities of the AAU Faculty of Arts and Sciences in strengthening the frameworks of scientific and cognitive cooperation with specialists and researchers in the field of Clinical Psychology and psychiatry, Dr. Nayef Nabil Al-Humoud, Consultant Psychiatrist, delivered a lecture titled Other Medications & Biological Treatments in Psychiatric Disorders on Monday, 19/11/2018 in the Mahmoud Darwish Theater at the Faculty. This lecture also aims to benefit faculty members and students in the Departments of Psychology and Special Education and students of the Master of Clinical Psychology in the Faculty. In his lecture, Dr. Al-Hamoud dealt with the psychological medications for each of psychiatric disorders, their work on neurotransmitters in the Central Nervous System and their side effects. He also talked about the latest developments in the field of psychiatry and psychotherapy. At the end of the lecture, which was organized by Dr. Hussein Al-Tarawneh of the Department of Psychology, the faculty members and students asked many questions that came in the form of dialogues. The lecture witnessed a great interaction between the audience and the lecturer’s in-depth answers.In turn, the lecturer praised the students’ level and the knowledge they possess in their specialties. Then, The Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences thanked the lecturer, faculty members and students for attending and paying attention to the subject of the lecture and promised to intensify lectures and activities in this field.
