Dr. Feda Abu Al-Khair Holds a Training Workshop at the Faculty of Medicine at Jordan University

On February 24th, 2018, Dr. Feda Abu Al-Khair, Head of the Department of Psychology and Special Education, at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, at Amman Al-Ahliyya University, carried out a specialized training workshop entitled “Direct Intervention to Prevent Suicide and negotiation with the suicide” in cooperation with (Let us Talk - Yalla Nehki) initiative.in this workshop, Dr. Fida talked about suicide, its motives, methods of prevention, and ways of intervention through negotiation with the individual who tries to commit suicide. The workshop was attended by a group of psychologists, medical students, psychology students and a group of school students and their families. This workshop came to be consistent with the participatory approach between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and other universities, in addition to civil society organizations and associations working in the field of health and psychological care, with an overall aim of spreading health and psychological awareness, and to provide training to practitioners in the field on the methods of psychological intervention in emergencies.
